Lightyear is thrilled to have been recognised as the Northern Ireland Startup of the year at the 16th annual Global Sourcing Association UK & Ireland (GSA) Professional Awards held in the Titanic Exhibition centre on Tuesday 25th June.
Chris Gregg, Co-Founder & CEO of Lightyear said “We are absolutely thrilled to be named Northern Ireland Startup of the Year by the GSA. This award is great recognition of Lightyear’s incredible growth so far and validation of the many benefits Lightyear's automation platform brings to businesses of all sizes who are seeking to save time and money on manual tasks.
“Special thanks go to the Global Sourcing Association for this recognition, Invest Northern Ireland for all their support, and most importantly to the Lightyear team.''
Lightyear was launched in September 2018 to the UK and ANZ markets and is now available in the US & Canada, Ireland, South Africa & Singapore, with over 10,000 users.
Why is it huge to be recognised by the GSA?
Founded in London in 1987, the GSA, a not for profit, is the industry association and professional body that sets the standard for a professional code of conduct and competency framework for the global sourcing industry.
To be given the validation publicly that Lightyear is on track to disrupt Accounting and Bookkeeping processes globally, while acting well within the framework of ethical best practice AND putting time and money back into the pockets of our customers, is a huge win.
