How much manual intervention will Smart Extract require?
At present, Lightyear users can experience almost touch-free data extraction. Simply select Smart Extract as your extraction method with a few clicks and watch your summary data appear. Auto-publish applies to Smart Extract if enabled on supplier settings.
Is the original Lightyear Data Extraction technology being phased out?
No, our original technology is here for the foreseeable future. As Smart Extract develops it may catch up and overtake our original mapper but there are no plans to sunset our current extraction technology.
Why isn't my Document Automatically Smart Extracting?
If you have uploaded a supplier document via Smart Extract previously, and are now uploading the same supplier document without manually selecting Smart Extract, Lightyear won't remember that you want this to be Smarted Extracted... yet.
Where can I see the Maps related to my Smart Extracted Documents?
Smart Extract obtains your data in real time, using our very own built-in logic to figure out which piece of data relates to which field within Lightyear.
So the simple answer is, you can't, there are no maps required!
